Last month we made a big splash with our news of BigMemory, our add-on to Ehcache which creates very large caches in the Java process while still avoiding the achilles heel (hell) of GC pauses. This is a catchup on where BigMemory optimisation is at in the lead up to the GA release. We show our new perf numbers for in-process caches up to 100Gb plus where the next round of optimisation speed ups will come from.
