Ruby is a great language to use to create a dynamic website. But many think using Ruby on Rails is the only way to do things. Here's how to use it as a CGI language for scripting. Using eRuby ERB templating to seperate the HTML from the script makes CGI a perfect alternative to using the Rails framework. You may forget about using Rails all together once you see how easy it is to do.
