One of the most discussed questions regarding onsite SEO was whether the 301 redirects pass all the link value back to the website or not. We already know that 302s due to their nature do not pass almost anything and are only recommended as temporary solutions, but by now there have never been official statement from Google on this topic. Until Now – It seems that the 301 redirect costs you the exact same amount of link value as ever external link on your website.
