Good writeup, well worth the read. I disagree however about the way he handles rejected candidates. To quote from the articles : "If I have finished my walk-through on a positive note, I wrap the interview up with a brief explanation of my company". You should ALWAYS do that, even if you are absolutely positive you will never hire this candidate. Maybe he has friends. Maybe he writes a blog entry that will be found on Google. You'll never know. Always sell your company and always make sure the candidate is convinced working at your company would be the greatest thing after working at Google.
