I don't think I've ever been as conflicted about something as I am about the iTunes App Store. There are so many intersections at which it is both the best and worst at the same time that I'm having an incredibly hard time sorting out how I feel about it.

I voted down for two reasons.
1. We are (atleast I am) tired to reading blog or reading headlines, which are trying to be in lime light, for obvious current hot topic. Everyone cribbing about recent app store fiasco, so why should I be left behind. It's safe choice for a blogger and everyone clicks it.

2. I believe in productivity. I really don't give a damn, whether it is open source or organic software or software policies what-so-ever. It all matters, what I am getting out of my time. As user, my experience with app store is very productivity. I always get apps which are "safe" & "stable" to use. I won't mind even spending couple of bucks, even for simple game. Because I know, it will be worth it.
As a developer, all I need to concentrate on development, all other infrastructure pain, is taken care of. Yes, it looks restrictive, but think of productivity.

That's why app store is instant hit. We can crib as much as we want, but in end it all matters, what customer wants and what he can use in a productive manner of his time & money.
