With another year coming to a close, it’s time to look toward the near future. The following are my predictions for the web in 2010.

After my first year at university, I got a summer job working for a small software development team who maintained a suite of utilities which included an interpreter for a small custom scripting language. Since I'd finished my original task for them ahead of schedule, they decided to give me the job of understanding their script interpreter's expression evaluator and rewriting it using lex and yacc.
