Many times (since number of records may be too big) - only small part of data displayed - used with different type of "table paginators". In our case we used RichFaces rich:table &amp; RichFaces rich:tableScroller - and we found - even we display only 10 elements from Collection, Hibernate loaded whole 3000 elements, readed by Criteria! That produced big perfomance problems. Here is easy to use solution for such cases</description>
