I've been using FF3 since the first beta compatible with firebug. I've seen no reason not to get it.. aside from the horror stories on *nix. All the other essential developer extensions are working fine with me.

I've had a few horror stories with the Firebug beta it kept crashing, but it seems fine now.

The 3rd version of the fox, at least on Windows is orders of magnitudes better than any previous foxes in ALL aspects. It's a breeze, though some users tend to attack the "amazing bar" or whatever its called (the new address bar)
If you haven't gotten the latest fox yet, I'd definitely encourage you to go and do so :)

Is it just me, or does Firebug not 'highlight' or 'outline' the elements in Inspect mode anymore?

FF3 and Firebug.
