Well, I've been spending a few hours generifying commons-collections recently. The jobs only just started, and my head hurts from all the times I've banged it against the wall. Is there anybody listening who might actually be able to communicate to the powers that be in Sun that generics are just way messed up?

Misdiagnosis - varargs is the guy's problem - if only varargs didn't use arrays..

Finally the official port! Go Stephen. I tried to post to the blog page itself, but jroller denied me every time. Shame about Slava no longer coding in Java, he's the guy that wrote JEdit!

Slava's moved on to writing his own programming language - factor. His main problem with Java is that it's statically typed - and his main problem with most of the dynamically typed languages is that they're slow. He just posts about Java now, as far as I can tell, because it's the main language that he's knowledgeable about that has a significant number of users (read: audience).
