Genuitec this month is expected to deliver a new release of MyEclipse, the $150 IDE that the company positions as an alternative to IBM's Rational Application Developer IDE for creating enterprise Java applications. With MyEclipse version 8.5, Genuitec is including its Pulse application lifecycle management and collaboration tools directly into the MyEclipse product.

MyEclipse 8.5 costs $150? The same price as Intellij Idea personal edition (upgrade)? Then I wonder who will use MyEclipse. The last time I used MyEclipse (2005) it was only $50.

dxxi - MyEclipse 8.5 is $30 for standard edition, $60 for pro edition, MyEclipse Blue is $150 (which this story addresses), and MyEclipse for Spring is $100 (promotion going on now). Currently we're at the milestone 2 stage with the general availability of MyEclipse 8.5 coming this month (March). Get MyEclipse 8.5 M2 with Pulse ALM technology included, its an amazing piece of technology: http://myeclipseide.com
