Since its introduction, S3 has been used widely by new players for file storage and hosting due its cheap costs and no upfront payments. But not taking AWS Pirates into consideration, S3 can end up very expensive and hazardous to your health. Ignore at your peril.

bankrupt? Hardly, he flaunts his $2,000 bill from amazon for a month. I somehow doubt that 'pirates' are the cause of most of this. I was expecting something more on the order of 10s or 100s of thousands, considering he warns of his stuff getting repo'd. A measly 2k bill is likely to make him annoyed, but thats a far cry from 'bankrupt' No figures as to how much of a problem this actually was, what the pirates were using it for (just the same old hotlinking images/video? thats kinda cheesy these days with free hosts abound), etc. Totally misleading crap.
