I think best interview and hiring process for a programmer or software developer it is sit down with someone and work on actual code to resolve a problem or a small use case. And show that you can code and most important you can resolve an actual problem or use case. Interview questions, tests to resolve prime numbers and so on does not work in real life. All of that dumb hiring process as Google did is a waste of time and is possible that you are hiring the wrong candidate.
