Google today opensourced the Google Chrome OS, billed as “an open source operating system for people who spend most of their time on the web.” The open source project is Chromium OS.
However it isn’t clear if Chrome OS’ dependency on the web will hamper it’s usage by most of the developing and the underdeveloped world, which has average to pathetic levels of Internet connectivity.
