Great big nylon bag! Believe it or not, I bought this bag for the sole purpose of

carrying it in the rain. (My usual everyday bag is a leather designer bag and I

didn\'t want to get it ruined in the rain.) I had originally ordered the canvas

version (before the nylon version came out) but returned it because it was just too

heavy. Thankfully the nylon version came out soon after! If you\'re concerned about

weight, the leather Juliette is the heaviest, >

Shoes,Clothes,Handbags,Purse,Wallets>>then the canvas, and the nylon is the

lightest. It\'s a pretty big bag; great for the fall and winter when I want to put a

hat, scarf and gloves inside, plus an umbrella. The thick leather handles add a

dressier side to the bag, and the shoulder strap comes in handy. You can use this as a

cross-body bag if you\'re relatively thin, but it\'s not that comfortable because the

bag is so big, so I\'ll either carry the bag in my hand or over my shoulder. I can

also carry it on the crook of my arm if I\'m not wearing a big coat. The lining is

bright pink no matter what color bag you choose. I carried this bag in the rain and

noticed raindrops formed on the outside instead of soaking in, so it\'s slightly water

repellent. You would just have to wipe the bag down as soon as you get indoors. > Shoes,Clothes,Handbags,Purse,Wallets>>I

also have several Longch--- bags, but the Dooney is definitely more structured than

the Longch---. It holds its shape better. I\'ve always felt the Longch--- bags were

too flimsy, especially their handles. Plus everyone has those here in NYC, and not

many people have the Dooney, which is nice. I got the red because I like color but not

too much color, and thought the red go with a lot of things; I\'m very happy with my

choice!
