OAuth is now supported on all of the Google Data APIs. OAuth is an open standard for authentication that allows applications to authenticate users without ever directly handling usernames and passwords. Because OAuth is a standard, you can use the same authentication code for any of the Google Data APIs and for APIs from other providers who support OAuth.
