Google's free Web Designer fills an important gap -- a free web tool for creating interactive HTML5 applications a la the Flash designers of old. But by adding WebKit prefixes, the tool ensures some apps will render best (or only) on Chrome. To this writer, it hearkens back to the bad old days of Microsoft and IE6.
