Both data and compute grids usually used together. Data grids deal with partitioning data and storing it on the grid (i.e. caching it from databases) and compute grids deal with splitting the processing logic for parallel execution on the grid. But why do we see both of them used together almost all the time and why is this so important to have both data and grid computing integrated?
