The groovy.util package contains the FileNameFinder and FileNameByRegExFinder classes. We can use the FileNameFinder classe to search recursively for files in a directory with ANT fileset pattern conventions. With the FileNameByRegExFinder we use regular expressions to define the file patterns.

wow! astoundingly irrelevant.
i'd say that to defend against these horrifying enemies of our body and skin, we could use Groovy's FileNameFinder class, which will search recursively for files in a directory with ANT fileset pattern conventions, and thus provide extra nutrients to the body. we could even use FileNameByRegExFinder and regular expressions to define some of our file patterns, which could help with your liver and digestive system trouble.
if you're still having problems, dig around in http://mrhaki.blogspot.com - there's over a hundred more Groovy Goodness posts. they deal with immutable classes, XmlSlurper, safe navigation, switch statements, and a host of other popular herbs for detoxification, etc.
