I just started to take a close look at the haXe programming language and I really like what I see!

"I don't have much else to say, except that you should check out the haXe language"
Ok, Diggins, if you tell me so ...

No one use ML?, F# and OCaml is based on ML and many people are using them with success, also check Haskell is a wonderful language. I think if the new Javascript get more ML or Haskell ideas it will be better. Look at Perl 6 many stuff is inspired on Haskell, It will kick ass, Just let Perl 6 gets stable and you will see lots of people jumping back to Perl 6 and Parrot. Python, PHP, Ruby will be a thing of the past.

No one use functional programming.

But they do... (Search for Erlang in Google)

Actually, haXe is written in OCaml and has a few cleverly disguised tricks from functional languages (like pattern matching in "switch" statements). It also does an interesting straddle of static and dynamic worlds (though somewhat different from Fan's technique). And it compiles to JavaScript already. If they finish the C++ port and also do Erlang, they might just conquer the world. (They already compile to PHP.)
