Using special characters in cookies caused some shoppers of the Bon-Ton Online Stores - running their site on the IBM WebSphere eCommerce platform - to not being able to put items in their shopping cart. Feedback they received such as "I’m looking to drop some serious cash on cookware, but I can’t add items to my cart" let them dig into that problem to identify if this is a real problem for their business or not.
