With Spring web , the DispatcherServlet is the hero - the guy who carries your request to its suited conclusion and returning back to you with a response. But how does it work? I decided to look under the covers to get an idea of the magic that the DispatcherServlet does. I went about, by creating a very basic, old -style no frills Spring MVC application. And the results were interesting.
