A Maven based project uses the target folder to place the output of a project’s build. Before the deployment of a project, it is a good practice to clean every file created by the previous build.

This is a GREAT LINK! I was wondering how one might clean a build with maven. I thought: "maven please clean project" but kept getting stuff about commands not being found and that was frustrating so I almost went to gradle or buildr instead but typing in gradle didn't run maven either and typing in "builder" didn't work for buildr, they need to lern to spell. why is this so fustrating!
