I've dreaded having to switch out computers or start all over with Eclipse when I changed jobs. It was back to the find and install the add-on mambo each and every time. It appears that there are some new tools that are trying to help developers in just this situation. Each of them tries to ease the developers life a little bit by taking away the pain and agony of setting up Eclipse.

It could have been a little more hard-hitting, but much the same as I have found. I'm "intrigued by Pulse" but not yet sold, and agree that a more mature version could make it worth while. Also note that Pulse is made by the maker of MyEclipse (which I use by choice), but I don't think there is anything sinister here, quite the opposite. They have proven Eclipse skills which will hopefully transfer to a free Eclipse management tool.

Thanks for the feedback! I was planning on doing another post about Pulse here in the new couple of weeks once I'd had the chance to really kick the tires on it in a real world development environment.
