If you’re a non-technical founder looking for a developer entrepreneur, these are questions you should ask yourself. Having been on the developer side of the coin a number of times, here is my take.

"How should I go about selling the business concept enough to have development of the application without initial funds?"

A common chorus that echoes throughout the world, and spanning time and cultures alike: "I want something for nothing".

If your idea didn't suck, it'd sell itself.

Really, though, just think about this. You know how many startups fail every year, and that a majority never see a profit? If you can't sell someone on your idea, ever stopped to think that maybe its because YOUR IDEA SUCKS? If your idea didn't suck, then you should be able to secure financial backing e.g. VC or a loan from a bank, in which case you could guarantee the developer due compensation for at least a year. I mean, he's most likely going to have to quit his "regular" job for your hair-brained idea, the least you could do is compensate him for it.
