It's an exciting time to be a web developer. The browser wars are in full swing, reminiscent of the mid-90s. Firefox 3.5 was released only yesterday with plenty of cool, new features including HTML5 support for audio, video, offline and local storage, and canvas text.

I can't wait for HTML 5, but for those of us that still have to support older versions of IE and Firefox, the day may never come that we actually get to use it in production. Until it does we have to rely on technologies like Flex, JavaFX, and other RIA technologies. The only other option will be to hack things together like we do with CSS (i.e. do this if IE, do this if Firefox). RIA sounds better and better.
