Since announcing the launch of Cart45 last week, I’ve had quite a few people asking how I’ve managed to create an ecommerce app and another web app (Bean Counter) seemingly simultaneously.
A lot is down to my downright bizarre working arrangement whereby my employer allows me to spend 20% of my time pursuing my own projects.

Good for him. I hope he can make some money with em. They may not be best of their kind, but they are starting off points for him to gain a few customers on and start adding new features and improvements too. Perhaps this post has attracted negative comments because he is doing something while you're surfing dzone...
I agree though. He was likely just promoting his new app. This would have been a better post for dzone: http://imgiseverything.co.uk/2008/06/25/launching-your-own-web/

thanks mostlyharmless. When I first saw these comments I couldn't understand why people thought my article was spammy - I guess it's because I name-drop and link both the web apps names - but had I not done that everyone would've asked what the apps were.
The point of the article is not how many apps I wrote but more about my working environment.
