I’ve seen many newcomers to Java language has been discussing this topic with themselves when they are given training in HTML and web design.For many of those folks, JavaScript is the another name for a nightmare. Few tips from my side for those people.

It's only necessary if you're doing HTML work, yeah? Not all Java developers (a) are doing web programming and (b) are doing any front-end work.

Java is pretty broad.
I will argue that if you are a J2EE developer, you should definitely know.

yeah! J2EE would a very opt term, instead Java. I wanted to address the entire Java developers, so I used the word 'Java'.
