Since my previous meditation seemed to upset some people, here's more serious pondering. This is not the first node on the merits of Object-Oriented Programming (or Object-Oriented Paradigm), and certainly not the last. And yet, he can't see the problems with Perl. It guides you towards just as sloppy code/thinking as Java and C++ and improper OO can do.

Anyone else that's interested in OO should check out Smalltalk before bitching about it.
