Rather than join the chorus and trumpet IE as the fastest browser in the universe, this post is my attempt to demystify the performance work that is being delivered as part of IE8 so that you can understand how we are making you more productive.

It's funny how most features of IE8 are really old stuff. It will be somewhat like FF 1.5 just a tad more quirky and less usable. If we're lucky, that is.
The only good thing about IE8 is that its release will make more people drop support for IE6, which in turn will force those bloody IE6 users to upgrade. (And hopefully some of them will switch to Firefox or Opera.)
