Dr. Dobbs just published an article called “Improving Tests for Reliability” written by Reed Hastings, CEO of Netflix. If you haven’t read it yet please do yourself a favor and take a look. It is absolutely worth your time. The thing is, this article, which looks into the modern issues of the elusiveness of bugs and the limitations of test suites, was actually written 20 years ago.
