I really doubt on Mysql . looking at the stats of mysql respective open source database used by millions of website and can be a potential treat to oracle in near future. Supporting Mysql for main stream by oracle does make much of a sense as far as i am concerned

Definitely. Sun purchase MySQL to make money on service and support. Now if Oracle can actually create a real "Cluster" product for MySQL, that would be great.
