Over the past few years, NoSQL databases have become a major backbone for many of the most popular applications across the web. They allow for Agile Development methodologies to be used, and allow us to make changes to our Data layers & Architecture, without any downtime to our application But how do they do this? In this talk we will see how Couchbase uses a flexible Data Model to allow us 100% application uptime. We will cover Data modelling, NoSQL Architectures and Agile Methodologies that can be used to ensure our application has zero downtime. We will also see real life use cases from the likes of Betfair, (One of the UK's largest gambling companies), and how they are utilising Agile methods with Couchbase to ensure consistent uptime.
