I've used SynergyCM and my impression was that it was crap... It made me long for Subversion. Also, our SCM server required a fulltime resource just to administer it and reboot the thing constantly... what a waste of time and money.

Its unbelievable that this product is still in use anywhere, and that people actually think its worthwhile. Being able to hang the Informix server (and thus preventing anyone from connecting to it) simply by leaving a dialog window open on a single client doesn't instill confidence in the product.
Don't even get me started on its pessimistic locking, its useless automatic merge, its inability to actually intelligently remove tasks from a release (dependencies anyone???). Not to mention how slow the thing is. Sometimes you just wish you could print out the code and store it in a filing cabinet.
If you want a real laugh look at its Synergy DCM product. Wow, non realtime sychronization between sites. That's amazing, so useful.
Overpriced, legacy product, that requires a full time build/merge/SCM manager for any large project you put on it. Totally unsuitable for a modern project or team.
Please telelogic let Continuus, oops I mean "Synergy" die.

I find it incredibly annoying when articles like these don't state the date they were published - when did the author think this was relevant? It feels like it was written in 1999, which would be perfectly OK, but I just don't want to waste time on a treatment of subject of SCM tools that is that old. (End of rant on pet-peeve of mine.)
