That is a fair comment... with that said, some tools in this space; and others; have become so large they can start to represent a liability for some initiatives. I think the point here was to demystify; or at least demonstrate; the pattern first and then provide some kind of a capability benchmark for comparison. Reinventing the wheel can certainly be a bad thing, but investing excessive time and energy blindly in some toolkits can be worse... People should be empowered with a menu of options and choose the right approach for each project... The big tools are great but are not necessarily the right selection for EVERY project.

You are absolutely right! I should have pointed out that too but was a bit in a short typewriter mode ;) But as you know there are also containers like PicoContainer etc. which are fairly simple to learn and use.
