Spring is great for defining loosely coupled Java classes and coding to interfaces, however, the XML aspect is really difficult to live with. In hindsight, the XML configuration implements the a testing solution which equates to 90% of the XML content and 10% utility.

So much angst for a few moments of joy 'attributed' to Spring? OMG, I can't understand why this product is so hyped.
