The rise and rise of Eclipse, the open-source tools platform, is now an old and familiar story. It’s possible though that Eclipse adoption is nearing its peak. I don't think it has peaked yet for the simple reason that it has got plenty of improvements to make. Better JSP and J2EE support in general will spur more people to adopt it instead of other tools that currently are better in these areas.
