Google launched an open-source experimental programming language GO. The language combines the performance and security benefits that we get by using a compiled language like C++ with the speed of a dynamic language like Python. Now a days, libraries are getting bigger due to lots of recent development. Internet, networking and multi-core processing have become the key areas of the latest technology. However, most of the system programming languages have been developed three decades back. That's why they can not serve the purpose of the above mentioned properties.

Another feature: very fast compilation time:
This could make go-lang a server-side language (or script) by compiled or compiled on the fly.

We need a revolutionary/radical new idea of programming language, I dont think Go will replace C or C++ or even Java. Even some people are saying that Go have a lot of similar syntax and constructs as Algol 68 so it is not revolutionary/radical.

I have listen since the begining of 2000's what could be next big thing and already passed 10 years and people still searching that so I think it will take more time than that we realize what is the next big thing.
