Awesome, but can Sun survive the recession?
They don't have that much that is so unique that you have to go with them. Further, their weakness is a good reason not to go with Solaris. Better off going with a pure open source BSD or Linux.

I think the fact that they are a full end-to-end provider of proven free/OSS Enterprise development toolsets does make them unique, more so than their competitors.
