I was looking into learning Swing for Vista+Mustang even in spite of SWT's easy up and go, but this is not encouraging. As a programmer through gui developer, pixel perfect implementations are key to me, and there is no way that I would use anything that would set off a users "something's not quite right" sense.
I think Sun will eventually get it straight. They've made great progress on making Swing on XP look right, so I think we'll start to see better performance on Vista as well.

This is a little disturbing that it is SO bad. Hopefully the team over at Sun will get this straightened out pronto.

GL to Sun, I really hope they can iron these out.
