Once I posted to DZone a blog entry that described why software migration done right is far superior to software rewrite. The post had some business flavor because it was a company blog and my start-up was/is heavily involved in this, but no in-your-face advertising. Also our product is not open-source. I got several negative comments and the post was heavily voted down. I learned from that and as a result my posts after that one had clearly positive feedbacks.
Imagine my reaction to this heavily voted up advertising post. I voted it down, sure, but why the so many up votes?
