jLynx is a simple Object / Relational API. Far easier to learn and use than Hibernate. It lets you persist POJOs and Maps very easily, plus it keeps SQL code and connection configuration in XML. Simple database transactions (i.e. CRUD operations) involving a single POJO require no XML mapping or SQL.
