As you may have already read in the other posts, I’m going a project involving a hell of a lot of satellite data, and google maps. After punching the living crap out of the directory structure, I found myself with a bunch of organised files, ordered by satellite type, and data set. So far, so good. But now what? I have a jpg/tiff/png or gif for each data item, along with (sometimes) a KMZ file used in Google Earth to display it. I want it all displayed in Google Maps, simply because Google Earth is a little overkill for most of the applications it’s being used for!
