I saw Kung Fu Panda tonight. It was a great movie, I really enjoyed it. However, as much as the escapades of the animated creatures and the feel-good message was a huge hit for the kids, I kept finding myself drawn to the adult themes in the film...specifically as I compare them to my own career in software development.

From the article: "Regardless, success in our field depends on us realizing that belief in our own abilities and skills "supercede" those of others around us." Wow. Does he really say that? Yeah. He does. Cool.
Just what we need, more stubborn coders! Later in the paragraph the author discusses how important it is to be open and that it's good to change our views when the "facts dictate". But the sentence quoted above is so stupid that it "supercedes" -- spelling questionable, by the way -- any which follow. On the subject of spelling, "their" does not mean "they are".
It's really touching that this guy unearthed deep development wisdom from Kung Fu Panda. But, on the other hand, give me a break.
