Apologies for the esoteric post, folks... but this is kind of important... Two folks from Yahoo, plus two folks from UCLA, have just released a paper on the ACM about a new kind of parallel algorithm: Map - Reduce - Merge.

Would it be possible to have a JPA language mapping for what they're doing? It could plug into existing applications without so much as a few keystrokes -- I think that would be really amazing and make it far easier to adopt.
