After two years of work, 700+ java classes, 400+ tests, 35 javascript test pages and a hell of a week polishing rough edges, we finally got the release out the door. (I enjoy an entire night of pure insomnia once a month, which looking behind is a great boost for productivity :) With lots of bottled awesomenesstm inside, the following is a selection of the new features that come included in Loom 1.0

For the record the guy that created Loom took the Stripes source code as the base foundation. He used to be pretty active on the Stripes mailing list until he released Loom. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with that but thought folks should know where his inspiration (and a lot of his initial code base) comes from.

It's true that Loom was inspired by stripes. To avoid repeating the details, here is the post exchanged with Gregg one year ago:

Only the part about "lots of its initial code base" is wrong. Loom never adopted a single line of code from stripes, the implementation was done entirely from scratch.
