Maven now supports condensed POMs using attributes
I’ve always wanted to see an attribute based POM, so based on Nicolas’ suggestion I killed some time after waking up early this morning to do it. Here's how you can try it for yourself.

yup i really like this feature.
I think support should be there for both version.
A user should be free to choose whether he wants to use attributes or elements. At least thats how i design my xml parsers to create my objects. (I use the dom4j api)
