Yeah, we were still trying to iron out the audio kinks during that presentation. Unfortunately, we don't have a way to monitor what's being recorder while the presentation is going so we didn't find out about this glitch until after it was over. I hope you still found the content useful.
Yes, it was useful. But a bit annoying to listen.
If it's too quiet it can be always fixed later on via noise reduction and normalization, but if it's clipped the wave form is pretty garbled and not really fixable in a timely manner. So, do yourself a favor and run a short sound check beforehand. Try to stay below the 80% threshold (better safe than sorry). If you then use noise reduction and normalization, you'll get the best quality/size ratio and it also won't be too quiet like most web videos.
