With an unprecedented move, Microsoft today released the Hyper-V paravirtualization drivers for Linux guest OSes, called Linux Integration Components, as GPLv2 open source software.

Im not sure but they give those 20k lines of code to Linux but 1 day before they ware asking to a Linux vendor to pay an undisclosed sum to Microsoft in order to settle a patent claim. So Im not sure what are up to the redmond folks. I dont trust them maybe they are still using the embrace and destroy tactics.
