The latest Emerging Markets Development Survey from Evans Data Corp reveals developers in Emerging Markets are embracing AJAX.

I love stats as much as the next man, but surely it's the end product that should be more important than the tools?

No doubt the end result is the ultimate metric. If these guys at Evans Data are correct, however, then we're likely to see more attempts at an Ajax-driven end result from these developers in emerging markets. To the extent that there's an odds game in all of this, the number of people using the tools will correlate to the number of people producing results.

I was surprised the numbers are so low. For the amount of hype that AJAX is getting, I was really surprised to see that adoption rates are as low as they are. only 18% in North America?

I am suprised they are extrapolating 400 developers (who were captured somehow -- who knows how the sample group was chosen) into a global statistical model...
