I fail to see how this is better than google with this many icons linked to... And a lot of them we have had links to before off of similar pages of collections of collections...

This sort of meta-meta post seems to be getting more prevalent :-(

It takes a lot of time to make a post of this kind. All it's carefully chosen and people like this posts.

You can just try to make a valuable list of resources by yourself and you'll see how hard it is.
When you do it, let me know, I would like to see it.

The difference with searching in Google is that I've made that work, so you can just read this and start with the good links.

By the way, only some links are lists of links. Others are directories, search engines, etc, or original sources of icons.
If you had read the post before voting down you may have noticed this.
